2. Permitted Use

Rain is designed to help Shopify store owners edit their themes using AI. You may use our services to:

  • Edit your Shopify store's theme files (sections, templates, snippets, CSS, layouts, configuration)
  • Describe visual and functional changes you want made to your store
  • Preview AI-generated theme changes before publishing
  • Download edited theme files as a ZIP archive
  • Connect your Shopify store via OAuth for direct theme access

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use our services to:

Illegal Activities

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws
  • Facilitate or promote illegal activities
  • Edit themes for stores selling prohibited or illegal goods

Harmful Content

  • Inject malicious code, malware, or scripts into Shopify themes
  • Add hidden redirects, phishing elements, or deceptive content to store pages
  • Generate spam content or hidden SEO manipulation (cloaking, keyword stuffing)
  • Create store pages that promote violence, harassment, or discrimination

Abuse of Service

  • Attempt to bypass credit limits or rate limits
  • Use automated tools to submit bulk editing requests without authorization
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our AI models or source code
  • Resell or redistribute our services without authorization
  • Intentionally overload our infrastructure or disrupt service for other users

Shopify Store Access

  • Use Rain to access or modify stores you do not own or have authorization to edit
  • Share store connection credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Attempt to access store data beyond theme files (customer data, orders, financial information)

Security Violations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities without authorization
  • Interfere with security features or authentication mechanisms

Intellectual Property

  • Use Rain to copy or replicate copyrighted theme designs without authorization
  • Remove or alter proprietary notices or labels from themes
  • Use our services to infringe on trademarks or patents of others

4. AI-Generated Code

When using Rain's AI-powered theme editing:

  • You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated code changes before publishing them to your live store.
  • Always use Shopify's draft theme preview to verify changes look correct.
  • AI-generated code is provided "as is" — while we strive for accuracy, unexpected results may occur.
  • Do not use Rain to generate code that violates Shopify's terms of service or theme guidelines.

5. Resource Usage

  • Use credits reasonably and within your plan's allocated limits.
  • Do not submit rapid-fire editing requests designed to exhaust system resources.
  • Excessive or abusive usage patterns may result in throttling or suspension.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to support@heyrain.xyz. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

  1. Warning: First-time or minor violations may receive a warning.
  2. Suspension: Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary account suspension.
  3. Termination: Severe violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.

We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation and to take appropriate action at our sole discretion.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
